ACC PREPARING CHILDREN & YOUNG PEOPLE FOR INTRODUCTION OF CONTACT SERVICE (PRE-VISIT)

The Child/ren and parents will first be shown our relaxing, warm and inviting rooms and spaces at ACC in Central Dudley, alongside light refreshments. You will also meet our friendly team, before being explained in age appropriate terms what you can expect from attending our contact centre. You will also receive free information and welcome leaflets to take away with you.

All child/ren and parents will be given plenty of time to ask any questions or concerns they may have.

This service helps to encourage future attendance, breaks the ice for those children or adults who may be very nervous or ambivalent about wanting to go to a ‘strange’ place to see and make contact with their family members.

Child/ren must be accompanied by one of the parents or secondary caregiver.

ACC General Opening times:  Monday – Friday:  10am – 7pm. Saturdays: 9am - 3pm.
